The above quote is a true reflection of my life so far, which has been a life of twists and turns and at times, total halts, but a life which is mine, and which I fully embrace.

Artist's Statement

The process of transforming clay into art is one that absorbs me to the point that when I sculpt, time ceases to exist; I blink, and it is tomorrow.  Over the years my art has evolved from painting to sculpting, and recently to jewelry making.  No matter what I do the process is the same - daydream, soul search, and transform the mental images into something tangible and yet...not. 

When I work with clay I'm reminded of primitive mankind, creating first with only his or her hands, developing tools both physical and mental, and always striving to improve and grow.  My art is always evolving as I grow, and as it evolves I grow even more.

It isn't difficult to know when a piece is done.  When I feel the breath of its soul on my hands I know that my goal has been met. My hope is that you will find joy in the pleasing shapes of my sculptures and sculpted jewelry as you watch the shadows play over the curves and folds, and find enlightenment in the most surprising, and sometimes hidden, places within.
